Update: Coastal Flood Warning Remains in Effect in Holmdel-Hazlet Area Thursday

Last night was a windy one in Holmdel and Hazlet, causing minimal power outages to the two communities. Although the area is waking up to find themselves relatively unscathed, a coastal flood warning remains in effect, particularly at high tide, along the Bayshore.

Drivers are cautioned to never drive on flooded roadways as the actual depth of the water can be deceptive.

The hazardous weather outlook also remains, but the high wind advisory and winter weather advisory are no longer in effect.

Snow was originally in the forecast overnight, however the National Weather Service (NWS) is now predicting that Thursday may be a messy one with a wintry mix of rain and snow throughout the day. The NWS says one to three inches of snow accumulation is possible Thursday night.

Friday's forecast is already looking much brighter, with a chance of rain and snow that will become all rain before 10 a.m., gradually fading into a cloudy day with a high of 44 degrees and a mostly sunny weekend.
