Construction To Close Roads In Holmdel

Construction projects are expected to begin soon and they will close a couple of streets in town, police said.

The projects will start on or around Monday, weather permitting.

• Commons Way will be closed between Laurel Avenue and the Holmdel Commons shopping mall access road, including the intersection. Access to Cedar Village will be via Commons Way, near Barnes & Noble, or via Avon Place. Construction is expected to take a week. Detours will be in place.
• Construction of curbs and sidewalks will begin in the area between the entrance road to Town Hall and the Senior Center parking lot. “The road will be closed to vehicles. The Post Office driveway should be used for vehicles to access the municipal complex/court parking lot to the rear of the senior center. Pedestrian access from the parking lot to the municipal complex will be maintained at all times,” the notice said.
