Doctor Charged With Criminal Sexual Contact
A neurologist, who lives in Colts Neck, has been charged with improperly touching a female patient during exams, authorities say.
A Middlesex County neurologist has been charged with improperly touching a female patient during exams at his Old Bridge office, authorities said.
Dr. Farooq Rehman, 61, of Colts Neck was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of criminal sexual contact.
Rehman inappropriately touched a 37-year-old woman on Aug. 26, 2015 and Sept. 9, according to a news release from Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Old Bridge Chief William Volker.

The investigation began after the woman called Old Bridge police, authorities said.
Rehman is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center in North Brunswick, in lieu of bail set at $100,000. The investigation is continuing.
