Expect Delays In Hazlet On Friday Due To Special Olympics Event

HAZLET, NJ - If you’re planning to drive through Hazlet Friday afternoon, Hazlet police encourage that you plan accordingly.

Between 1:30pm and 2:30pm on June 11, motorists can expect “minor traffic delays” on Route 35 northbound between Miller Avenue and Clark Street as local authorities complete the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the New Jersey Special Olympics.

“Officers from our agency will pick up the torch from Holmdel PD near Miller Ave and hand it off to Keyport PD just before the Stop and Shop,” the Hazlet Township Police Department wrote in a statement.
