Join Vietnam Veteran Tour Guides Joe Leone and Matt Swajkowski for free Saturday Tours on October 7, at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial.

Tours leave from the Museum lobby and last about an hour. Reservations are not required.

Joe Leone of Mercerville served two tours in Vietnam from 1969 to 1972 as an Administrative Specialist, the last and most rewarding tour with the 4th Tactical Fighter Squadron.

After the service, Joe worked in the healthcare field. Recently, he took a leadership role in bringing the award-winning documentary, Blood Road, to central New Jersey for a special screening sponsored by the NJVVMF.

MATT SWAJKOWSKI

As an undergraduate at St. Peter's College Matt enrolled in the ROTC program and was commissioned (2Lt.) upon completion of his studies in 1969. Entering the Army almost immediately he was assigned to the Field Artillery, taking a three-month course at Fort Sill in Cannon Gunnery.

Upon leaving the service he returned to school to finish a teaching certification program, taught Chemistry at Carteret and Belleville with a 16 year stint in business in between teaching assignments.

He is a life member of DAV, Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Americal Division Veterans Association.
