Father, Son Arrested After Traffic Stop in Holmdel

William Moore is charged with driving with a suspended license, Justin Moore is charged with obstructing the administration of the law and resisting arrest.

A father and son were arrested on separate charges after a routine traffic stop in Holmdel.

Police pulled over William Moore, 54, of Keansburg at the intersection of Laurel Ave. and Route 35 due to an expired inspection sticker on the car. Police say they then found Moore was driving with an expired license.

Moore's son Justin, 25, and also of Keansburg, then allegedly opened a car door into an officer's midsection after police attempted to explain to him why his father was being placed under arrest.

Police say the younger Moore then attempted to leave the scene, which is when officers attempted to place him under arrest, after an alleged struggle.

Both Moore’s were transported to the Holmdel Police headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court appearance.
