Turkey time

We recently asked our Patch readers to tell us on Facebook where they buy their holiday turkey, and here's what they said. What's your source? Leave a comment below.

Volunteer in Union Beach

The Bayshore Watershed Council & NY-NJ Baykeeper are having a clean up of the East Creek wetlands in Union Beach on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers can meet on Jersey Avenue. For more information, contact Debbie Mans at debbie@nynjbaykeeper.org.

Bring gloves and wear clothes that can get wet, dirty, and/or muddy.

Check out Debbie Man's blog on Patch to find more.

Food donations

The Keyport IHOP, open 24 hours, is collecting Turkeys and non-perishables for the R.A.I.N.E. Foundation. Food can be dropped off anytime of the day or night.

Patch compiled a list of other area food drives going on during the holiday season.
