GSP Roadwork In Holmdel Closes 1 Right Lane: NJDOT

HOLMDEL, NJ - One right lane is closed to vehicular traffic on the Garden State Parkway in Holmdel due to roadwork, authorities said.

Road work is taking place southbound from North of Exit 114 - Red Hill Road in Holmdel to North of Exit 109 - CR 520 in Middletown, according to an alert from 511NJ.org.

"A $5.8 million contract was awarded last summer to Green Construction for drainage repairs, storm pipe replacement, storm pipe lining, video inspection, storm pipe cleaning and some related repairs along about six miles of the Parkway in Holmdel and Middletown," a New Jersey Turnpike Authority spokesman told Patch.

Today's closure is expected to last until 3 p.m. Currently, there aren't any significant traffic delays in the area, with a majority of the repair work being completed on the shoulders and off the roadway.
