Hazlet Police Ask For Help In Attempted Theft Case, Cops Say

Hazlet police are searching for people who they say are wanted for the attempted theft of about $3,000 worth of merchandise from Kmart.

Hazlet police are asking for public’s help in their search for people who they say are wanted for the attempted theft of about $3,000 worth of merchandise from an area store.

Police said the group tried to steal items from Kmart. They are believed to be from the Aberdeen area, authorities said.

“Fortunately the merchandise was recovered as they left the store and they fled from the area,” police said in a Facebook post.
