Hazlet Police Make Drug Arrests After Months-Long Investigation
Police arrest two local men in drug-dealing case conducted only 10 doors down from police department and near a local school.

HAZLET, NJ - After a two-month investigation, Hazlet Police detectives served a search warrant at 281 Middle Road Thursday morning resulting in the arrest of homeowner Keith Hoffman and his tenant Timothy Urbealis on charges they were selling drugs just 10 doors down from police department headquarters and the same distance from Middle Road School, authorities said.
Inside the home, detectives seized heroin and prescription pills as well as paraphernalia. “Let this be a message to the persons who think their going to sell drugs in Hazlet and get away with it," said Deputy Chief Ted Wittke. "We will not tolerate this sort of behavior.”
Hoffman, 56, Hazlet, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute in a school zone, two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, police said.

Urbealis, 44 also of Hazlet, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, possession with intent to distribute in a school zone, four counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe, police said.
Ilisa Micciuli, 41, of Hazlet, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic syringe while Robert Cifuentes, 32, of Keyport, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

All four were released on their own recognizance.
