HAZLET, NJ - Amid thunderstorms, wind gusts and lightning on the forecast in Hazlet on Thursday, the township has cancelled another performance by its summer show band.

Hazlet Pops, the township's newly-formed musical revue band, was originally scheduled to play a Broadway-themed set at Eighth Street Park on July 8. Dubbed "Give Our Regards to Broadway,” the show was to precede an outdoor movie showing of Mamma Mia. However, the township announced the event’s cancellation Thursday afternoon due to the anticipated severe weather.
