Hazlet’s July 4 Fireworks, Concert Postponed Due To Weather

HAZLET, NJ - Amid a severe thunderstorm and flooding watch in the area, Hazlet has postponed two events originally scheduled for this week.
The announcement was made by township’s recreation department in a municipal alert on Thursday afternoon.
Thursday’s Hazlet Pops concert at Veterans Park will be rescheduled for July 15, while the Hazlet Fireworks originally scheduled for July 3 is postponed until July 5.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued in Monmouth County, with the National Weather Service predicting severe thunderstorms and potential flooding in the area through Thursday night.
