Holmdel High School Says Viewing Of 'Frozen" Will Go On Tonight

Holmdel school officials note that their pre-planned viewing of the film "Frozen" will go on tonight. Do you want to build a snowman?

HOLMDEL, NJ - Without any trace of irony, Schools Superintendent Robert McGarry announced that school workers have tried to make sure access is assured for those planning to view the film "Frozen," at Holmdel High School tonight.

"It seems like there could be no better day for a showing of the Disney hit "Frozen," McGarry wrote on the school's website, adding Tickets to the film still are available and can be purchased at the door at Holmdel High School for $5 a person.

"As a result of our crew’s amazing efforts over the last 24 hours or so, we will be able to open our facilities later today in time for this event and for other community events scheduled in our facilities this evening" although participants should check with organizations for individual plans, McGarry said.

Facilities will open according to the following schedule:
4:00 p.m. Holmdel High School and William R. Satz complex
5:00 p.m. Village and Indian Hill schools.

Depending on the sport and at the discretion and availability of each coach, the high school Athletics Department may schedule non-mandatory practices starting at 4 p.m. today. Student-athletes will be contacted directly by their coaches should a practice session be possible.

Because of space and space availability, it is likely that this will include Varsity teams only. "I cannot state strongly enough that any sessions scheduled are voluntary and should you have concerns about getting on the road yourself or having your child drive or share a ride with another student driver, please listen to that concern and keep your child home," McGarry said. "Our coaches will understand."

Should you choose to attend an event this evening, keep in mind that even though the district is certain parking lots and walkways will be cleared, due to drifting snow, slick spots can occur at any time, McGarry said.
