Holmdel Historical Society Holiday Meeting, Potluck Dinner Tuesday Night

Holmdel, NJ - The Holmdel Historical Society will hosts its 2016 holiday meeting and potluck dinner Tuesday, Dec. 13.
The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. at the Holmdel Community United Church of Christ (40 Main St.), one of the township’s oldest landmarks. Following its potluck dinner, members and guests will convene for its monthly meeting. Their first goal for 2017 is the restoration of the old St. Catharine’s Church on Stillwell Road.
The Historical Society researches, preserves and interprets the history and architectural history of Holmdel, which is one of the oldest sites of European settlement in the Garden State, with many of its properties dating back to the 1600s.

The Historical Society is undergoing a full revitalization as an organization, with Holmdel’s Peter Manieri and Sylvia Allen elected to become the new President and Vice President, respectively. To join the organization as a member, annual dues for the HHS are $25 and can be paid at the December 13th holiday meeting or by calling Manieri or Beck.
