Holmdel Opens Warming Center Thursday Night

The warming station is the Holmdel Community Center (6 Crawfords Corner Rd.) and will be open from 7 p.m. Thursday - 7 a.m. Friday.

HOLMDEL, NJ — With hundreds of residents still without power in Holmdel, Mayor Tom Critelli announced the following:

With numerous power outages affecting our residents, coupled with the expected sub-freezing temperatures tonight, the Township is opening a “Warming Station.” This warming station will be located at the Holmdel Senior/Community Center (6 Crawfords Corner Rd) and will be open from 7:00 pm this evening until 7:00 am, Friday morning.

Holmdel residents are welcome to come to the Center where they can sit down and warm up. There will be outlets available to charge cellular phones or other electronic devices. We will also have water and coffee available. Please be advised that this is not a shelter. There will be no cots available for sleeping, but there are restrooms available on site. Residents who plan to utilize the warning station are encouraged to bring their own snacks if they wish. The center will be staffed by members of Holmdel’s Office of Emergency Management.
