Holmdel Police Investigate Possible Attempted Child Luring
Holmdel Police are seeking help and also advising residents of an attempted child luring involving a 13-year-old girl walking near school.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Police report that at about 3 p.m. Monday, a 13-year-old girl was walking on Holmdel Road near Indian Hill School when she passed an older model red pick-up truck with two male occupants inside.
As the girl passed the truck, the male passenger said to her, "Are you O.K. sweetie? You need a ride?"
The girl said "no" and continued walking toward home. The truck pulled away and there was no further interaction, police said. The passenger was described as a white male in his mid-sixties with a brown and grey beard wearing a short sleeve black shirt.

The child could not provide additional details regarding the truck beyond noting the truck bed was covered with a black tarp, police said. The truck was parked and running with two of its tires in the roadway, and two up on the sidewalk, according to police.
