Holmdel Police Save Hazlet Overdose Victim
Holmdel police were on a traffic stop when another driver asked them to help a Hazlet woman who had overdosed, authorities said.

Holmdel police officers pulled a car over Sunday night, but as they were working on that traffic stop, another driver approached and asked them to help an overdose victim, police said.
The officers used Narcan to revive that Hazlet woman, police said.

Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday Holmdel Police Officers Thomas Foley and James Corrigan were on a motor vehicle stop in the entrance of Kohl’s Plaza on Route 35 when another driver approached them and asked for help.
The passenger in that driver’s vehicle, a 22-year-old Hazlet woman, had apparently overdosed on heroin. She was unconscious and her breathing was shallow.

Foley administered Narcan and the woman regained consciousness.
She was taken to Bayshore Community Hospital in town by the Holmdel First Aid Squad for further treatment.
