The township's fall newsletter is available online, and has information about township events, the tax appeal process, and more.Â
Operation Take Back
A drop-box for prescription medication will be available in Holmdel Town Hall on Oct. 26Â from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Accepted items: Â
- unused and expired prescription medications
- prescription cough syrup, sealed
- prescription eye and ear drips
- unused and expired over the counter medications
Unacceptable items:
- hypodermic needles
- medical waste
- mercury thermometers
- illegal drugs or paraphernalia
Please remove the prescription label on the original prescription container if it contains any personal identifying information. The collection is anonymous, no identification is required.

Pills do not have to be in the original case. A Holmdel Police Officer will be with the drop-box at all times to assist residents.
Trunk-or-Treat
Start dusting off those Halloween decorations and getting creative with your costume, the Hazlet Trunk-or-Treat event is coming to Hazlet on Oct. 26.
Hazlet residents are invited to bring Halloween candy and park at Veterans Memorial Park with decorated trunks and spooky costumes, as children up to 8th grade go car to car trick-or-treating.
The event begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 7 p.m., kids must be in costume to trick-or-treat.
Prizes will be awarded in different categories and age groups.

Free Rabies Clinic
There is a free Rabies Clinic in Holmdel, Saturday, Nov. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 am at the Public Works Garage on Crawfords Corner Road. Please have your dog(s) on a leash, and your cats in carriers.
Paper Shredding
Holmdel Township is hosting a free paper shredding event in town at the Department of Public Works on Nov. 2.Â
Residents and small businesses can bring paper to 14 Crawfords Corner Road from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Remember to remove large binder clips, staples and paper clips can remain.
Service is stopped once the truck is filled. Â
