Homdel Resident and St. Catherine's Parishioner James Navagh Dies

Visitation will be held at Holmdel Funeral Home at 26 South Holmdel Road on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 2 - 6 p.m.

James J. Navagh of Holmdel died peacefully at home on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013. He was born in Manhattan and was a proud alumnus of Regis High School and Fordham University.

While he worked as a systems analyst at E.F. Hutton for most of his career, Jim's true vocation was as a devoted husband and father. Jim was also an active member of St. Catharine's Parish in Holmdel. He served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the first Parish Council, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the St. Andrew's men's group.

He is survived by Kathleen, his loving wife of 45 years; daughters, Eileen Conrad, Sheila Buck, and Jeanne Navagh; and grandchildren, Kevin, Delaney, and Matthew Buck.

Visitation will be held at Holmdel Funeral Home at 26 South Holmdel Road on Sunday, Oct. 13 from 2 - 6 p.m. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Catharine's Church in Holmdel on Monday, Oct. 14 at 9:15 a.m. followed by entombment at Holmdel Cemetery.
