Jet Ski Accident in Raritan Bay Thursday Night
His jet ski capsized, the man was adrift in Raritan Bay and had to be pulled out of the water by an NYPD helicopter.
Keansburg, NJ - A man had to be rescued by helicopter from the choppy waters of Raritan Bay off Keansburg beach Thursday night after a jet ski accident.
The man capsized his jet ski and was adrift in the bay, the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook. The Sheriff's Office Marine 1 boat responded, as did the U.S. Coast Guard and the NYPD Aviation unit, said a spokesman the NYPD. After a search of the area, the man was located and was pulled out of the water by an NYPD rescue helicopter, pictured below. He was transported to a local hospital.
