The Township would like to extend deep appreciation to the

Holmdel Library Foundation for their latest contribution to our

impressive library.

When the library was originally designed, the architect included several locations throughout the facility for interactive screens. There were several reasons for this design including giving the library a modern media center appeal and affording the opportunity to showcase some of Holmdel's rich

history, especially the inventions of Bell Works where the library is

housed. While a great deal of the wiring had been installed, the vision

was never completed during construction.

The Holmdel Library Foundation was gracious enough to provide

the funding to finish this aspect of the project which is now

complete. The project included installing a four-panel connected

display at the main entrance, three touch screens along the wall

curvature and a large touch screen display by the children's section.

The library is now open to the public! Be sure to stop by and explore

this new exciting technology and learn a little more about Holmdel’s

history.
