Monmouth County July 4 Fireworks Guide
You can see fireworks starting Saturday night through Sunday, July 9. And don't forget about the Monmouth County Fair display on July 26.

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — It's almost the July 4 holiday weekend! Here's our round-up of the best fireworks and patriotic events happening in and around Monmouth County. And who says fireworks only have to happen on July 4? Many of these displays will go off all next week.

SATURDAY, JULY 1:

Matawan: Fireworks will go off Saturday, July 1 at Lake Lefferts.
Manasquan: Fireworks go off on the beach at dusk; rain date is July 2.

Aberdeen: Fireworks at dusk in Fireman’s Field. Aberdeen Township’s Independence Day celebration will take place on Saturday, July 1. The event will kick off at Fireman’s Field, located at the corner of Lloyd Rd. and Gerard Avenue, with the Annual Mayor’s Trophy Softball game. The Aberdeen Township Police Department and the Department of Public Works will battle it out on the field beginning at 6:30 p.m. Once the game has ended, residents are invited to bring their chairs and blankets onto the field and get themselves settled for the fireworks display. This is a family-fun event including music by DJ Sway J. There will also be food vendors. Fireworks are set to go off at dusk. If there happens to be inclement weather, the softball game and fireworks will be rescheduled for Monday, July 3.
SUNDAY, JULY 2:
Hazlet: Fireworks go off around 9 p.m. at Veterans Park. This year, Hazlet's fireworks will be Sunday, July 2 with a rain date of Monday, July 3. As always, the fireworks will be held in Veterans' Memorial Park in Hazlet. The fireworks go off at dusk, usually around 9:15 p.m., the Township said. There will be a DJ and concession trucks, including trucks selling hot dogs and ice cream.
Freehold borough: Fireworks will be July 2 at Freehold Raceway, at the intersection of routes 9 and 33. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., with live music from NRG from 7 to 9 p.m. Local radio stations WJRZ and WRAT will provide patriotic music during the fireworks display. Food and beverages for sale. No backpacks, coolers or pets permitted. Rain date is July 9.
Wall: Fireworks go off at dusk at 1870 Baileys Corner Road
MONDAY, JULY 3:
Keansburg: Keansburg Amusement Park will hold its fireworks July 3 and 4 at dusk this year. Head to the beach to see them.
Union Beach: July 3 at the beachfront at dusk. Rain date is July 5.
Bradley Beach: Fireworks go off at 9 p.m. July 3 at the beachfront. Rain date is July 8.
Ocean Township: Fireworks go off at dusk at Joe Palaia Park fairgrounds
Colts Neck: Fireworks will be set off by the Colts Neck Business Association in Bucks Mill Community Park. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. and there will be the Colts Neck community band, Moon Dance band, the Great American Apple Pie contest, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream and Delicious Orchards doughnuts plus a presentation of the Color Guard from Naval Weapons Station Earle. Fireworks go off when the sun goes down.
TUESDAY, JULY 4:
Asbury Park: Fireworks will go off at 9 p.m. along the Asbury Park boardwalk. Sit on the beach and watch.
Long Branch: Oceanfest On the Oceanfront Promenade. The largest Fourth of July celebration at the Jersey Shore begins at 10 a.m. The fireworks display starts at about 9 p.m. It includes food, arts and crafts vendors, a variety of live entertainment and more. Monroe Township (Middlesex County): Fireworks will be July 4 in Thompson Park.
FRIDAY, JULY 7:
Atlantic Highlands: Fireworks go off at the Atlantic Highlands marina at 9:45 p.m. on Friday, July 7. The Atlantic Highlands Firemen's Fair also runs July 4-July 8. It's every evening from 6-11 p.m.
SATURDAY, JULY 8:
Freehold Township: Fireworks go off at 9 p.m. July 8, as part of Freehold Township Day, 5 to 10 p.m., Michael J. Tighe Park, 65 Georgia Road.
SUNDAY, JULY 9:
Marlboro Township: Fireworks go off at the Marlboro Rec Center. Festivities start at 7 p.m.
FRIDAY, JULY 21:
Manalapan: Car Show, Concert and Fireworks
WEDNESDAY, JULY 26:
Monmouth County Fair: On Wednesday night, July 26, there will be opening night fireworks for the Monmouth County Fair, which runs from July 26 to 30 at the Freehold fairgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold.
