New Music Lab At Holmdel's Satz School Gets High Marks
William R. Satz Middle School pupils enjoy new music innovation laboratory.

HOLMDEL, NJ - The Holmdel Foundation for Educational Excellence has donated a state-of-the art music innovation lab at the William R. Satz Intermediate School where pupils can perform on digital piano keyboards connected to Apple computers running the Garage Band software, which allows students to create and manipulate digital music tracks to create their own masterpieces.
The music lab has seen heavy use with Satz's music classes, according to a release on the school website. Music teacher Dana Donovan explained. "This new space is really helping to foster my student's creativity while also helping them use technology in a way that might be somewhat unfamiliar to them," she said. "And they are really enjoying the chance to create music in a non-traditional way."
