NJ Vietnam Veterans Get Due Recognition at Upcoming Golf Outing
NJVVMF welcomes golfers and honored guests for the 25th Annual Golf Outing on Monday, August 12 at Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club
On Monday, August 12th, Board Vice Chair and Golf Committee Chair, Vietnam Veteran Gordon Pingicer, along with NJVVMF Executive Director, Sarah Taggart, will welcome more than 200 people to the Eagle Oaks Golf & Country Club in Farmingdale, NJ, for the 25th Annual NJVVMF Golf Outing.
The event is always a sell-out, but this year is extra special. In addition to celebrating the event’s 25th anniversary, the one-of-a-kind memorial, museum and education center dedicated to New Jersey Vietnam Veterans will be using the silver anniversary to honor and remember a very special person, Ed Eget.
Ed served in the US Air Force, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. In June of 1969, Ed was seriously wounded in action while serving in Vietnam. His heroic service earned him several combat awards including: the Bronze Star, Air Medal with 16 clusters and the Purple Heart. Ed also received the highest non-combat related medal for valor, the Airman’s Medal, after an airplane in Bermuda exploded and Ed walked through the flames to enter the aircraft and save everyone on board.

The New Super Ticket includes two mulligans and the chance to win additional prizes, including extra cash on all Par 3’s and eligibility for special drawings, a putting contest and a shoot out.
