The road improvement project, which stretches from Route 520 to the Holmdel border with Marlboro, will take place over four nights.

HOLMDEL, NJ - Road repair work on State Highway 34 will be re-milled and resurfaced this week, with motorists advised to expect delays and follow posted detours.

In a Tuesday afternoon social media post, the Holmdel Township Police Department notified residents of the road improvement project, which is expected to “last for no more than 4 nights”, weather permitting.

“New Jersey Department of Transportation is currently performing road improvements on State HWY 34 from the intersection with Route 520 continuing to the Holmdel border with Marlboro near Deer Path,” the department wrote. “The scope of this project consists of milling the roadway and resurfacing with hot mix asphalt.”
