HAZLET, NJ - Utility work on Route 35 southbound is scheduled for the rest of the week in Hazlet, authorities said.
Repair work will begin near Miller Ave. on Feb. 25 through Feb. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., according to a 511NJ.org alert. Both shoulders will be closed during construction.
The scheduled work is reportedly for the new Chick Fil-A, Ptl. Patrick T. Wood of the Hazlet Township Police Department told Patch.

"The contractor informed me that the plan is to only reduce the highway down to one lane while they are working," Wood said. "They do not plan on needing a detour traffic at this time."
The fast food site, which began construction in July, does not have a set opening date as of publication. According to township documents, the restaurant will offer 136 seats for indoor dining, a drive-thru window and 41 parking spaces.
