Baxter's Fishing Derby Set For Saturday In Howell
The derby is open to kids ages 5 to 14. More than 550 freshwater fish will be stocked in the lake.
HOWELL, NJ — Bring your youngsters out to Echo Lake on Saturday for Baxter's Fishing Derby.
The event at Alfred Sauer Park, 1225 Maxim Southard Road, is open to children ages 5 to 14 and is sponsored by the Baxter Family and the Howell Township Lake Restoration and Wildlife Committee, which will be stocking the lake with rainbow trout, bass and bluegills (more than 550 fish).
The organizers also are providing trophies and bait.

Participation in the event is free. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. and participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing rods.
