?Foul Odor? Leads To Dead Body In Car At Howell Shopping Center

HOWELL, NJ ? A dead body was found Tuesday afternoon in the rear of a Chrysler Pacifica parked at the Howell Commons shopping center, according to authorities.

Police said the death does not appear suspicious, and there is no threat to the community.

The victim?s name and gender and other details are being withheld pending notification of family.

Shortly before 5 p.m. Tuesday, the Howell Township Police Patrol Division responded to the Howell Commons shopping center on Route 9 after someone reported a foul odor coming from a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers located a dead person in the rear of a blue Chrysler Pacifica, police said.

Detectives from the Howell Police Investigation Division conducted an investigation, with the assistance of the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office.
