HOWELL, NJ - Preventorium Road between Old Tavern Road and Maxim Road will be closed next week for road work, officials said.

In a July 9 municipal notice, officials noted that the road will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for milling and paving. Access to Oak Glen Park will be periodically restricted during the closure as well.

Old Tavern Road from Manassa Road to Lakewood Farmingdale Road will also be closed July 15 and 16 with traffic being detoured to Manassa Road, Southard Avenue and Squankum Yellowbrook Road, the notice reads.

Howell locals will still have access to the library, municipal court and recycling center from Lakewood Farmingdale Road.

Any weather delays could require roadway closures to spill over into the week of July 19.
