Blue Jasmine Showing at Howell Library on Thursday

A look at events happening in Howell on Thursday January 23, 2014.

After at least a full day of being snowed in residents in Howell can get out of the house with a trip to the library for an afternoon movie.

This week’s Thursday movie is Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine. The movie stars Kate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin and will start at the library at 1 p.m. Next week the library will show Before Midnight to wrap up the January schedule.

The National Weather Service has not ruled out a chance of snow but during the day it should be partly sunny with a high of just 23 degrees. With the wind chill it could feel as low as six degrees below zero. Snow could return after 4 p.m. and continue until around midnight. A low temperature of around eight degrees at night could feel like four below with a total accumulation of one inch of snow possible before it is done.
