Election 2020: Who's Running For School Board In Howell?
Five candidates will pursue four open seats on the Howell Township Board of Education in November.
HOWELL, NJ – Four seats are up for grabs on the Howell Township Board of Education, according to the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.
For the full-term race (with three seats open), board vice president Albert "Al" Miller, Dr. Denise M. Lowe, Ira Thor, and Stephen Dobbins will be campaigning for a seat. Thor, Lowe and Miller are current members seeking to maintain their spots, while Dobbins is a newcomer slated to challenge the incumbents.
Current board member Laurence Gurman is running unopposed for a two-year unexpired term.

There are no seats up for grabs on the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education representing Howell or Farmingdale.
All petitions to run were filed as of Monday's 4 p.m. deadline. The list remains unofficial pending certification by the county clerk. Election Day is Nov. 3.
