'Fiercely Proud Mom' Grace Lupo Of Howell Mourned

Grace Lupo died Sunday at Raritan Bay Medical Center; she was 51 years old.

HOWELL, NJ — Funeral services have been set for Grace Lupo of Howell, who died Sunday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was 51 years old.

"Grace was a wonderful homemaker, a dedicated wife and a fiercely proud mother of three young sons for whom she dedicated her life," her family wrote in her obituary, shared by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home in Freehold Township. She was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, animal rescue and spending time with family.

"She was an amazing person, known for her strength, her loyalty to friends and family, her courage, convictions and selflessness. Grace deeply loved her family, her friends and her life and took great pride in everything she did for her family," the obituary said.

Grace was born and raised in Staten Island and relocated to Howell in 1999.

She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Joan Cooper. Grace is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Lupo; her three sons, Joseph Robert Lupo, and twins, Jake Francis Lupo and Logan Richard Lupo, all of Howell; siblings Alfred Cooper of Ohio; Elena Catalano and her husband, Ben, of Staten Island; Robert Cooper and his wife, Mary Jean, of Staten Island; a sister-in-law, Lori DeLuca, and her husband, Michael; her beloved nieces and nephews, Kristin, Dina, Townsend, Jackson, Max, Michael, Jeannie and Jonah; and her loyal canine Newfie companion, Sadie.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11 a.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will be private.
