Free Ice, Water For Those Without Power In Monmouth County: JCP&L

For those waiting for electricity to be restored, ice to keep your food cold can be picked up at these stores.

With officials saying it could take days to restore power for some residents following a powerful storm that ripped through Monmouth County, Jersey Central Power & Light has released a list of stores where ice and water can be picked up at no charge for those without electricity.

"While our crews continue restoration efforts, customers who are without power can pick up free water and ice at the following locations," JCP&L said.

You must show identification with your address and provide a telephone number that's linked to your JCP&L account.

More than 80,000 homes and businesses in Monmouth County were still without electricity as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.
