Howell 2017 Christmas Tree, Menorah Lighting Celebration Set

Both Christmas and Hanukkah will be celebrated at the township event.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township will be celebrating the holiday season on Tuesday, Dec. 5 with its annual lighting of the township's Christmas tree and menorah.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the municipal building, 4567 Route 9 north.

In the spirit of the holidays, officials are asking residents to bring small, unwrapped gifts for the township's Adopt A Family giveaway.

There will be music and singing, hot drinks and goodes, and a visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

Township officials say there will be very limited parking at the municipal building and shuttle service will be provided from the Howell Commons Shopping Plaza. The buses will be in the area closest to Dress Barn.

If it rains on Tuesday, Dec. 5, the event will be moved to Wednesday, Dec. 6.
