HOWELL, NJ - A small business owner native to Howell has recently announced his candidacy for New Jersey State Assembly to represent Legislative District 30.

Steven Dobbins is a Howell High School graduate with degrees from Brookdale Community College and Rutgers University. He has been a Howell resident for 14 years and is the owner of Stormin' Arts Productions, a social media marketing agency for small businesses. Dobbins has been active within the community for many years, leading efforts to curb hunger during the pandemic in Old Bridge, organizing a pre-Thanksgiving luncheon for Howell police and running for a seat on the Howell Board of Education. He was most recently appointed to the Environmental Commission and Green Team in Howell.

“Stephen recently ran for Howell Board of Education. While he did not win, he did receive over 13,700 votes which is the largest number of votes for a non winning candidate in BOE history. Stephen was not deterred by his loss, instead he came away invigorated and even more passionate about serving his community,” a statement on Dobbins’ campaign website reads.
