Howell Halloween Fun Nights For Kids This Week

The predicted storm on Wednesday has prompted a change in the Howell-o-ween event, and the Howell police event is coming up as well.

HOWELL, NJ — If your children are looking for Halloween fun, there are two events this week for them.

First is the Howell-o-ween Spooktacular, sponsored by Howell Township. It will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, a change from the original date of Wednesday, Oct. 16.

The Howell-o-ween Spooktacular, which runs from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Oak Glen Park, 251 Preventorium Road, will include pumpkin painting, activities, games, and a hayride. A costume contest will be held at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, the Howell Township Police Department will host its third annual Pumpkin Palooza.

The event, from noon to 4 p.m. at Twin Pond Farm, 1459 Route 9 north, includes a variety of activities. There will be pumpkin painting with Howell police officers, a corn maze, a hay bale maze, a corn house, rubber ducky races, pumpkin bowling and ring toss, a pumpkin bounce house, a pumpkin slingshot and pumpkin basketball.

The first 500 children will receive free pumpkins and free activities tickets. The first two activities are free, and organizers said a small fee applies to additional activities. There will be a food truck and music by DJ Greg Nice.
