Howell Pushes Back Tree, Menorah Lighting
The event originally was set for Tuesday evening.

HOWELL, NJ — Howell Township has postponed its planned Christmas tree and menorah lighting that was scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 5 to Wednesday, Dec. 6, officials announced.
Rain predicted for Tuesday evening prompted the postponement.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the municipal building, 4567 Route 9 north.

In the spirit of the holidays, officials are asking residents to bring small, unwrapped gifts for the township's Adopt A Family giveaway.
There will be music and singing, hot drinks and goodes, and a visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.

Township officials say there will be very limited parking at the municipal building and shuttle service will be provided from the Howell Commons Shopping Plaza. The buses will be in the area closest to Dress Barn.
