HOWELL, NJ - A local real estate professional and longstanding community volunteer native to Howell has recently announced his candidacy for New Jersey State Senate to represent Legislative District 30.

Dan Stinger, a Howell Township homeowner and Wall public school graduate, has remained active with a variety of charitable organizations for over a decade including the American Cancer Society, JDRF, the American Kidney Fund, the New York Blood Center, the American Red Cross and the New Jersey Music Educators Association.

During the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Stinger has led an effort to provide hundreds of meals to front line workers at Hackensack Meridian Hospital in Brick and Hackensack Meridian SubAcute Rehabilitation. Most recently Stinger was appointed to the Howell Township Municipal Alliance, where he will continue to focus on advocating for suicide prevention initiatives.

● Jobs: Finding ways to bring jobs back to District 30 in the hardest hit industries like restaurants and tourism which are traditionally small businesses.

● Education: Fund trade schools and vocational programs. Bring consolidation to school administration and reallocate funding back to classroom education.

● Infrastructure: Bring State funding back to the district so that our utility infrastructure and transportation needs can be upgraded.

● Taxes: Reduce the tax burden on our communities through shared services and more public private partnerships.

“I am running for State Senate to address the real everyday problems of ordinary hardworking New Jerseyans,” Stinger said. “There are so many small businesses and people in our district that are suffering and their needs have been ignored by our current State Senator. I will bring help to our district by focusing on the needs of our community rather than getting bogged down in partisan political fights. I grew up in the district, I work in the district, I am District 30.”

The 2021 New Jersey State Senate election will be held on Nov. 2, 2021.

Legislative District 30 includes Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Farmingdale, Howell, Lake Como, Lakewood, Manasquan, Point Pleasant, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights and Wall Township.
