Howell Road Improvements, PBA Salary On Howell Council Agenda

HOWELL, NJ - The five-member Howell Township Council is set to discuss an award of contract for Howell Road improvements, authorize the appointment of a new municipal clerk and add an ordinance to include craft distilleries and assisted living facilities as permitted uses for highway development at its next meeting on Feb. 23, according to municipal documents.

Here are the highlights of the agenda:

• A resolution is on the table to authorize an award of contract (NJDOT Municipal Aid FY2019 – Howell Road) to Earle Asphalt Company in the amount of $313,313.13.
• Another resolution is slated to authorize the appointment of Municipal Clerk Susan Minock, effective Feb. 24, 2021.
• There will be a public hearing on the amendment of a PBA salary ordinance, setting salary ranges for officers and positions within the Howell Township Police Department.
• A public hearing is also set for the amendment of Chapter 188-77, Highway Development 1 introduced at the council's last meeting. The ordinance will add Craft Distillery and Assisted Living Facilities as permitted uses.

There will also be a Resolution read to recognize and commend the contributions of Howell Township Public Schools Board of Education and proclaiming 2021 as School Recognition Year.
