Howell Township Pizzeria Robbed, Front Door Smashed
New Friendship Road's Capricci was robbed of hundreds of dollars between Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, its owner said.

HOWELL, NJ - A Howell restaurant was robbed of hundreds of dollars in cash between Wednesday night and the early morning hours of Thursday, according to a Facebook post by the business owner.
Capricci Pizzeria & Restaurant on New Friendship Road reopened later than usual on Thursday due to required cleanup after the unknown assailants smashed the front door, robbed the pizzeria and wreaked havoc on the storefront in the process, owner Anthony Anzevino told Patch. In addition, Anzevino predicts that the cost of replacing the front door will run him another five to six hundred dollars.
“Yesterday was a sad [day] for Capricci as we were broken into during the middle of the night,” Anzevino said in a Facebook post detailing the event. “We apologize for the late start in the day, but we had to let the Howell’s finest police do there investigation and took sometime for us to clean up the store.”
