Howell Woman Arrested On DWI Charges, Endangering Child: PD
Anteirah Mitchell, 26, was charged on Feb. 2 by Ocean Township police following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 66, authorities said.
HOWELL, NJ - A Howell woman was charged Tuesday with driving While intoxicated, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child and other motor vehicle violations following a motor vehicle stop on Highway 66, authorities said.
Anteirah Mitchell, 26, was arrested on Feb. 2 following a motor vehicle stop in the area of Cedar Village Boulevard, according to a Nixle alert from the Ocean Township Police Department.
An adult male and a juvenile passenger, who was sleeping in a rear seat, were also in the vehicle at the time of Mitchell’s arrest.

An investigation later revealed that Mitchell had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated and that she had done so knowingly while responsible for the care of the juvenile, police said. Michell reportedly resisted arrest by “tensing her body and pulling away from officers.”
Mitchell was processed and later released on a criminal summons pending a court appearance.

The juvenile was taken into custody and, per directions from the Department of Child Protection and Permanency, was placed in the temporary custody of a family member.
