Learn Meditation From Tibetan Monk In Howell

The Buddhist Tashi Lhunpo Temple is hosting the classes.

HOWELL, NJ — A local Buddhist temple is inviting area residents to come and learn about meditation with a Tibetan monk in October and November.

Tashi Lhunpo Temple and Kalmyk Kids’ Nomin Class are inviting people to participate in the Shamatha Meditation Class.

The series of classes begins on Sunday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m., with a second scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28 at the temple, 12 Kalmuck Road, Howell.

"We are so honored to have Geshe Harampa Jimpa-la teaching us meditation in Tibetan," organizers wrote. Dr. Art Engle will translate from Tibetan into English, and you are not required to be a Buddhist to attend these classes.
