HOWELL, NJ - The Howell Township Police Department is investigating two separate reports of a male exposing himself to individuals in the Howell Commons shopping plaza, authorities said.

According to a Tuesday statement on social media from the Howell Township Police Department, Howell officers responded to a report of an act of lewdness on March 14 near the Kohl’s department store. Witnesses alleged that a male suspect pulled up to them in his vehicle, opened his driver side door and exposed his genitals.

Howell police say this isn’t the first time an incident of this nature has occured in recent months: on Feb. 21, a similar incident was reported at Howell Commons.

The suspect is described as a male in his 30s to early 40s, thin, fit, and tan with short spiky dark hair and facial scruff (but without a beard).

Surveillance footage has been obtained and is being analyzed by authorities. In security footage, the vehicle can be seen driving throughout the Target (Lanes Mill Marketplace) parking lot, pulling through spaces and stopping near cars, but its operator does not pick anyone up or exit the truck to go into any shops.

Surveillance footage reveals the truck to be a newer Toyota Tacoma SX model.

“This is not a very common Tacoma as it is the bare bones with the SX option which has black grill and rims,” Howell police said.
