Monmouth Co. Receives 5,000 Vaccine Doses After Shipment Issues
Anyone who was scheduled for a dose last week will be contacted this week for an appointment, the county commissioner director said.
MONMOUTH COUNTY - Following nearly a weeklong delay in COVID-19 vaccine shipments to New Jersey, the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners have announced that all doses were received Monday.
Vaccine appointments at two county-sponsored sites - Brookdale Community College and the county agriculture building in Freehold - have been cancelled since Wednesday due to the inclement weather in the South and Midwest regions of the country.
In a statement issued Monday by Commissioner Director Tom Arnone, the official noted that the county received 5,000 doses and will be administering “all of them this week.” As of Monday, 2,565 individuals need to be rescheduled for vaccination appointments.
