NJ Weekend Weather: 70-Degree Temps, Sunny Skies At Jersey Shore

Mostly sunny skies are expected to hit New Jersey this weekend, with a potential passing shower on Sunday. Here's what to expect.

JERSEY SHORE - Spring is now in full swing and nicer weather is expected to hit New Jersey this week, bringing temperatures in the low-70s and mostly sunny skies.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday and Sunday will both be mostly sunny with hardly any wind gusts. Temperatures are expected to approach the 71-degree mark all weekend, according to the service.

AccuWeather notes there might be an afternoon shower in some spots on Saturday and a passing shower on Sunday. Both are expected to last for less than an hour.

Here is the forecast:

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 67. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph will move east in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with low temperatures around 50. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west after midnight.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 63. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 52.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. 40 percent chance of rain for a half hour.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Sunday: Mostly sunny. 55 percent chance of passing showers.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.
