Patricia A. Dore, 68; Longtime Howell Schools' Employee

Funeral services have been set for Patricia A. Dore, the former Howell Township resident and secretary to the Howell Township schools superintendent, who died Saturday at Brick Hospital. She was 68, according to her obituary on the Clayton Funeral Home website.

Patricia Dore was born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of Howell before moving to Toms River. She was the secretary to the superintendent of schools in the Howell Township School System before retiring.

Patricia was predeceased by her father, Stanley Roe, her mother, Barbara Huber and her stepfather, Carlton R. Huber. She is survived by her daughter, Traci Marie Hutton and her husband Bill of Toms River; two grandsons, Brennan Dennis and Collin Patrick; three sisters, Holly Joy Possa of St. Marys, Ga., Brenda Lee Huber, of Kingsland, Ga., and Darlene Vafiadis of Barnegat; two brothers, Kevin Roe of Jackson and Roger Roe of Manasquan; a nephew, Eric A. Possa, of Chicago; her stepmother, Joyce Roe of Howell, her dear cousin Betty Applegate of Manasquan, and many loving relatives and friends. Her world was her grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, Aug. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Adelphia Cemetery.
