PHOTOS: Car Fire Extinguished In Howell’s Oak Glen Development
A Thursday evening car fire is now under investigation "due to the age of the vehicle," authorities said.
HOWELL, NJ - Firefighters from the Southard Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire Thursday evening in the Oak Glen development in Howell, authorities said.
At around 5:04 p.m. on May 20, the Southard Fire Department was dispatched to a reported car fire on Starlight Road, according to a department spokesperson. One engine responded to extinguished the fire, with a rescue truck also responding for support. All units were cleared after thirty minutes on the scene.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Howell Fire Bureau "due to the age of the vehicle," Southard Fire Department Chief Steven Hadgkiss told Patch.

The vehicle is a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta.
