Route 34 Closed In Howell Due To Downed Pole, Wires: DOT

The pole was brought down in a motor vehicle crash, the DOT said.

HOWELL, NJ — A crash has brought down a utility pole and wires on Route 34 north in the area of Route 33, forcing authorities to close the road.

Howell police said the road is closed in both directions from the Colts Neck border (Route 18) to Route 33.

The closure is causing delays of 10 to 15 minutes in the area, according to the state Department of Transportation.

It was not known how long the closure will be in place. Information on the crash was not immediately available.
