Spring Brush Collection Begins Next Month

The Howell Township administration announced this week that the spring brush collection will begin on April 15 and run through May 19 weather permitting. 

Only brush and tree trimmings will be collected according to information provided by the township. Anyone wishing to recycle leaves should bring them to the Recycling Center which is open every day from 7:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. for the spring season. 

The following regulations must be followed for collection. 

Brush:

• Stacked against the curb with all butt ends facing the same direction
• The maximum size is six inches in diameter and eight feet in length. Stumps will not be collected
• The maximum amount to be collected per residence is "equal to one pickup truck load"
• No leaves will be collected
