Trio From Howell Charged In February Break-ins

Three are among four in indictment handed up Thursday

Three Howell residents were among a quartet of people indicted Thursday by a Monmouth County grand jury for their participation in a robbery, according to the indictment.

Stanley Bibens, 25, of E. Third St., Robert J. Hamilton,  21, of E. Third St., Anthony Lopez, 23, of Smith St.,  and Daniel Perugini, of Ocean Township, were are charged with third degree attempted burglary, third degree criminal mischief, third degree burglary, and fourth degree theft, according to the indictment, which was handed up Thursday.

The charges stem from a burglary of the Freewood Acres Food Market on Feb. 16, and an attempted burglary of Lino’s Pizzeria that same night, the indictment says.

The four entered the pizzeria and the food market, breaking glass windows and stealing $200 in cash and cigarettes, the indictment says.
